The Guyer Silverados host a dance showcase in early May at Guyer’s Auditorium for the Silverados, Dance classes, Color Guards, Solo choir singers ext. They put on an incredible show with amazing lighting from the theater and fantastic music. Guyer has put on this showcase for decades and Ms. Simpson and Mrs. Uddin have been carrying out this tradition and making it better and better every year. All the clubs performing in this showcase prepare themselves from the start of the year to make this event better every single year.
Guyer has put this event on for years now and it always amazes the crowd. “This year it will be held in the Guyer High School auditorium on May 9th and 10th @ 7 pm” says Director Rachel Simpson. This show has always been in the middle of May but with school and everything they have decided to make it a little earlier.
Now the Silverados are not the only ones performing at this show, it’s more than just a Silverado showcase. “The Guyer Silverado, Guyer dance, a few community studios, Guyer color guard, Guyer cheer, and a few students will be singing as well,” says Senior Veteran Lauren Gamboa. Not only will the Silverados be performing but also many extra clubs and outside clubs will be welcome to perform.
Furthermore to go to the showcase people will need to buy tickets. “ The tickets will eventually be promoted on the Guyer Silverados Instagram account, Guyer website, and maybe Wildcat weekly,” says Veteran Gamboa. Since it is still very early on the tickets to this show are unfortunately not out yet and according to The Silverados Instagram, Facebook, and other social media they come out later in April when the date is a little closer.
The whole Guyer fine arts production worked really hard on this show to give the community a good show that will leave them speechless each year.
