The Guyer community and other people across the world have come together to celebrate Easter, which is on March 31, by doing fun activities in their homes or communities.
Many people celebrate Easter in different ways; whether that’s celebrating religiously to not doing anything at all. However, some people believe that the most important thing to do on Easter is spend it with family and friends.
“Usually my family comes over to my house for lunch, and we eat Mexican food.” Carleigh Crull said.
Some people believe that they should dedicate Easter to their religion and celebrate it through church services. Many people believe Easter is commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Millions of people attend Easter morning church services or attend get-togethers where they have brunch and have activities like egg painting and egg hunts.
“I go to church and go to Easter service. I also volunteer for children’s service at my church, which is my favorite part of Easter,” Carleigh Crull said.
Guyer I am Second hosts an Easter egg fellowship where many of Guyer’s students can come together and celebrate Easter religiously.
“I am going to the I am Second Easter fellowship where we are going to decorate Easter bags and have an Easter egg hunt.” Ashley Mcgrew said.
Easter is also a way to have a fun time with different activities, like how most people have Easter egg hunts. Egg hunting, basket collecting, kite flying, and painting eggs are all common interests that people take into Easter to celebrate such a fun day. A perfect way to celebrate these fun activities is through the Guyer community, and like how Guyer Track and Field celebrates by selling Easter baskets and Guyer TAFE is egging yards.
“I trade Easter baskets with my family on Easter morning, and we also sometimes have an Easter egg hunt with my sisters in the morning.” Carleigh Crull said.
Easter is a fun day for most people and there is no right or wrong way to celebrate it; and many different communities, like Guyer, have different traditions and activities that make Easter a special day.
