What you need to know about “I Am Second”

The “I Am Second” club, and who they are.

The “I Am Second” club, a team of people who meet up and have bible studies and study the writings of Jesus.  The club itself was originally founded by Darla Hinches about 15 years ago.  Once Ms. Hinches left, Monica Colson was asked to take over and lead the club in 2024.

“It’s rewarding getting to see all these students’ testimonies and faith shown through 

their passion,” says Colson.

The club meets every Wednesday after school, and every Friday before school for bible studies. They actively welcome new members with open arms.

“Anybody is welcome, wherever your faith is, doesn’t matter, we love sharing our faith and testimonies with everyone,” Says Ms. Colson.

Logan Reynolds, a junior, is in his second year with the Guyer Wire Newspaper.  Reynolds’s position on the staff is Copy Editor. He found interest in journalism and newspaper because he enjoys photography and writing stories for everyone to see. Reynolds is a tennis player for Guyer and also involves himself in the Esports club. Reynolds’s hobbies are tennis, video games, and a little reading. A fun fact about him is that he enjoys watching anime and reading manga.
