The gift-giving season is coming, so here is a guide for the best gifts to give or receive, even if you can’t buy anything for anyone. The best thing you could give them is spending time with your loved ones.
After hearing discussion about what students want for Christmas, there are a lot of items that are hot right now.
“I’m getting Jordan Four black cats,” sophomore Joey Blas said.
Jedi Callan, a sophomore, said he would be “getting the Demon Slayer manga box set.”
While some students may already know what they are asking Santa for, others may still be trying to find the perfect gift to receive or buy for someone else. Some ideas for the hottest gifts of the season are below:
Fashion
- Shoes: Jordan Fours (150-300$) and Converse (80-120$) are very versatile shoes that can match with anything.
- Clothing: Hollister makes clothes for comfort and quality and has great prices.
- Jewelry: A simple chain could change a whole fit. GLD is a well-known brand for their chains within every price range, making their chains for everyone.
- Hats: Lids has such a wide variety of hats for everyone; these hats can also upgrade anyone’s outfit.
Technology
- Laptops (800-1600$): Apple MacBooks and Microsoft Surfaces work well. They’re very powerful and work with coding, doing schoolwork, and browsing.
- Kindle E-Readers (100-600$): You can download books and have a book in your hands anywhere.
- Sony XM headphones (200-450$): These are the best noise cancelling headphones and sleek design.
- Tablets (300-1200$): Apple iPads (pro, air, A16,Mini), samsung galaxy tab or pro.
- Gaming consoles: PS5 (500$) can play very demanding games and is very strong, Nintendo Switch 2 (450$) is a handheld hybrid console, and is strong for it’s form factor.
Fitness and wellness
- Resistant bands (20$): Available to work out anywhere on the go with these bands.
- Agility cones and ladder (20$):When set up helps balance coordination and lastly speed.
- Massage gun (40$): helps muscles after a workout, reduces soreness, and eases stiffness.
- Athletic clothing (30-150$) :Nike and Gymshark have comfortable athletic clothes that are in style and have something for everyone.
Stocking stuffers
- Portable chargers(40$): When you’re having a busy day and are outside, a portable charger will charge your phone throughout the day and give it more battery life.
- Candles(10$): Change the whole scenery of a room with the ambience and the smell.
- Fuzzy socks(10$): Fun, warm socks for the winter season, could be personalized with the person’s favorite color, character, or theme.
Hobbies
- Books: There are many different book genres that anyone could read. Reading also disconnects you from technology. A good place to get books is Barnes and Noble; they have amazing service.
- Sports gear: For whatever sport, this could be the perfect time to get accessories and needs for the sport; you could get these in Academy.
- Yarn crafts: Time to stock up on yarn, needles, hooks or patterns. You can make items for people as gifts an amazing place to get these things from would be Micheals or Hobby Lobby.
If all else fails and you don’t have a gift for someone, you could give them a Christmas card with a gift card inside of their favorite store and a nice note inside. All that matters is that you thought about the person and spent the time to find them a gift, whether that gift be through personal time, a craft, or something purchased.
